How to use it
- Type your text. Press Enter to start a new line; the text gets as big as the screen allows either way.
- Or tap one of the Ideas to start from a ready made sign, then edit the words.
- Pick colors, a font and a weight. Neon glow adds a soft glow around the letters.
- Click the text or press F for full screen. Click again or press Esc to exit.
The size is worked out again whenever the screen changes, so the text still fills it after you turn your phone sideways or move the window to a TV.
Ready made signs and how to use them
- Concert sign. A short message in neon on black stands out in a dark arena. Two or three words read best; turn the brightness all the way up and hold the phone sideways.
- Airport pickup name sign. Black on white with the name on its own line, like a printed sign. Put the person's name in capitals and use a tablet if you have one: a bigger screen reads from farther away.
- Call me. Show it through a window, across a noisy room or to someone on the other side of the street.
- Be right back. A message for a stream break on a second monitor or as a captured window.
- Classroom. "Quiet please, test in progress" on the door or the projector.
Need the words to move? Make an LED style banner with scrolling text.
Flip, mirror and share
Upside down turns the text around so someone sitting across a table can read your phone while it lies flat in front of you. Mirror reverses the text so it reads correctly in a mirror or a reflection in glass.
Copy share link makes a link that opens this page with your text, colors and font. The text sits in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to the website's server. Your last text is also saved on your device, so it is ready next time.
Questions
How do I put big text on my screen?
Type your text in the box and press F or click the preview. The text grows to fill the whole screen, on one line or several.
How do I make a concert sign on my phone?
Tap Concert sign, change the words, then go full screen and turn your phone sideways. Bright neon on black with the brightness all the way up stands out best in a dark venue.
Can I use it as an airport pickup sign?
Yes. Tap Airport pickup, type the name, and go full screen. Black on white looks like a printed sign, and a tablet reads from farther away than a phone.
Can I use emoji?
Yes. Type emoji from your keyboard. They are drawn by your device, so they look the way emoji usually look on it.
Can I share my sign?
Press Copy share link. Anyone who opens the link sees the same text, colors and font.
How do I exit full screen?
Click or tap the text, or press Esc.
