What the site does
Every page is one tool that fills your screen: plain white and black screens and every other color, a full monitor test kit, lights such as a ring light and a night light, screensavers such as the fireplace, and pranks such as the broken screen. See every tool.
Who runs it
Screentific is built and run by Lucas, who also writes the screen guides. Each guide is checked against manufacturer documentation and published standards, lists its sources, and links to a free test you can run on your own screen.
How it works
- Free, with no account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.
- Everything runs in your browser. The tools draw with your browser and make their sounds there too. Nothing you pick, type or load is sent to us.
- Works offline. Pages you have opened once keep working without a connection, and you can add the site to your home screen.
- In several languages. The most used tools are also in Portuguese, Turkish, Spanish and Arabic.
Honest about what a screen can do
A web page cannot make your screen brighter than your device allows, cannot fix a dead pixel and cannot turn your screen off. When a tool has a limit like that, the page says so. The screen tests show you what to look for; they are not a lab measurement.
